"Thanks to you Ferhan: A wonderful place to be on top of it all"
I chose Villa Ferhan through the internet, and it was the first time for me to do anything like this. A bit apprehensive as the airplane landed at Milas airport, two ladies, winie and I took our luggage outside. A big sigh of relief when, as agreed, Ali was there holding a card with my name on it. He drove us to the villa right on top of the hill where Mrs Fetrhan greeted us at the gate and showed us around. The surrounding garden was pleasure to the eyes, and the swimming pool and the terrace and patio furniture were as described, except when you are there it feels much more wonderful with the breeze and a unique 340 degrees panoramic view over Bitez Bay and the green peaceful valley and the surrounding hills nestling hundreds of whitewashed condominiums like an artist drawing. The interior was immaculate and tastefully decorated. The kitchen had all what we need, bathrooms towels were fresh and the bedding was excellent. The air-condition units worked perfectly. Although the villa is minutes away from local shops, Bitez bay and Bodrum town, I think a car is essential, be it a Taxi or a rented car. I also bought a Turkish telephone chip from saw airport to make communication easier when needed. Mrs. Ferhan was half the story and source of delight and comfort in my 9 days wonderful vacation. She is a true lady, generous and graceful and always there, through sms or emails, and in person if need be. She went out of her way to make me feel in real vacation at my second home and never for one second felt like a tourist or an insecure foreigner in a strange surrounding. Fresh flowers were picked and placed on the breakfast table in the patio, light were turned on outside at sunset, first day groceries was made with her help and car, my renting a car, my first trip to Bodrum, and direction through the narrow allies to the right parking lot or the best ice-cream parlor were all made with her help and local knowledge and much more. The location and the villa layout and class allowed us both to easily reach and enjoy other towns and villages with the crowd, and at the same time to enjoy a private and relaxed dip in the pool and a homemade meal or grill from local produce in a five star atmosphere. Billion thanks to you Ferhan dearest.

Our one week stay at Villa Ferhan was a major highlight of our recent longer trip. The villa provided an excellent home away from home for our family of six, including our four adult children. It was conveniently close to the attractions of Bodrum and Bitez, such as the crusader fort and boat cruises, and provided a convenient base for our day trips to the sites of Ephesus (Efes) and Pamukkale (and Hierapolis), and the Greek island of Kos. We also enjoyed spending time just relaxing at the villa. The various patios and sitting arrangements provided superb panoramic views throughout the day as well as great spots for chatting, reading and our meals. Inside the villa, everything was luxurious and well-equipped. The owner Ferhan was great to deal with in setting up our rental, providing helpful advice for our stay, assisting us to rent a van through a local car rental company and following up to make sure everything went well. Ali and Fatma, the onsite couple, welcomed us and also made sure everything went smoothly for us. We highly recommend Villa Ferhan to fellow travellers.

This villa is even more spectacular than the website suggests. The location above Bitez village (2 butchers, fishmonger, bakery, wine and spirits shop, and small groceries plus restaurants) is great. The house and grounds are impeccable, the owner is nearby and incredibly helpful, as is the housekeeping couple who are a great help; the two resident dogs on the grounds are lovable. The kitchen is so good that you will want to shop at the markets and cook. The pool, and terraces, and views, and amenities are first rate; a real find, and we'd love to return if we could get back to Turkey someday. .

This has been an excellent stay for us. The house and the surroundings are just perfect. The way you have decorated the house, the furniture, the garden, the friendliness, the service, everything is so pleasant. Yes, we really have enjoyed this and would like to come back here soon. And we can absolutely recommend Villa Ferhan to anyone.

We (2 adult,3 teenager) spent a week in October in this wonderful house located on a hill with a fabulous view on Bodrum with its seaside and surrounding landscape. The reality is even better than the provided photos. You will miss nothing in this house. You find excellent furniture (e.g. mattresses in the beds) and even a hairdrier in the bathroom. The house is lovingly decorated, very clean and very well maintained. The couple Fatma and Ali, very friendly, take care of everything, are not disturbing and always helpful. When I was sick Fatma even cooked chicken-soup to get me recovered. The two dogs are friendly, provide security and our teenager loved to play with them. Ferhan, the charming owner of the house, is normally in Istanbul and you can always reach her. Although in October the weather was not that good we enjoyed our stay in Turkey and the Ferhan villa was a very comfortable retreat for this. We can fully recommend this house. Be sure to have a car with good tires for the ascent to the house on the hill.

We stayed at the villa in September 2010 and had an outstanding time. The villa is actually nicer in person than in the pictures and on the web site, which is hard to believe given how nice the pictures look. We were group of 7 and the property fit us perfectly. The 3 bedrooms in the main part of the house are all excellent - they each have their own private bathroom and are all spacious. There is also a guest area with a bedroom that accommodated one of us and she loved it. Everything on the property is clean and very well-maintained including the pool area, the bedrooms, the bathrooms, interior, and exterior of the house. There is also a really nice couple who lives on the property and maintain it and are there to answer any questions and handle any issues that may come up. The location is also perfect. The villa is 5 minutes from a wonderful public beach and 10 minutes from the marina area where we went to eat almost every night. While you don't really need to leave during the day because the pool area at the house is so nice, there are a lot of great places to enjoy the outdoors and the perfect weather. There are supermarkets and convenience stores within 5 minutes as well. Finally, Ferhan, the owner, was incredibly helpful. She not only helped us plan our week in Bodrum, but also gave us tips about Istanbul where we spent a few days before we traveled to Bodrum. She was always accessible and went out of her way to ensure that we had a good experience. We recommend this villa to everyone.

We stayed at Villa Ferhan in June 2010 for six nights, and it is what you see in the pictures and even better. Very clean, emaculate, and elegant. Tha garden is very tasteful, Ali and Fatmah, the house keepers on site, take care of you and the property in a very professional way, Khavee and Cokiee (the dogs) were nice and very friendly. The view (depends on where you are seated) are magnifisant. Quite, yet close to the city and beaches, and City center. you do need a car though. The elegent owner met us in Istanbul, very helpful, she kept in touch with us by phone and e-mail, took care of our needs. I will definitly go back again
Review of VRBO listing 233404.
Our family visited Turkey for the first time this summer ( early August 2009) and after a week in Istanbul, we flew to Bodrum where we spent a week at Villa Ferhan. The villa was even better in real life than the pictures.
The setting and views are beautiful, the furnishings high quality, and the villa and gardens immaculate and tastefully decorated. The caretaker couple Ali and Fatma can be quite helpful even without English, and look after the grounds diligently without being obtrusive. Ms. Ferhan kindly waited till our late arrival to orient us, and next morning took my wife to get groceries because we did not have a car yet (a car is essential unless you want to only visit Bodrum, nearby beaches, and for groceries; in that case, taxis will be cheaper). She also called us from Istanbul to make sure everything was ok.
The two dogs that wander the property are friendly and our children really enjoyed having them around. They also provide security. The infinity edge pool and three terraces-all furnished- are highlights of the property and allow one to find shade, or sun, any time of the day. The 3 bedrooms can accomodate 6 people easily and the master has a sofa bed for a 7th). Each bedroom has a private bathroom. The property was very quiet when we were there in early August, and the AC keeps the bedrooms comfortable.
Bodrum is only 10-15 minutes away by car, and Ephesus 2-2.5 hours on good highways. (leave early in am and stop at Eurymos - just past Milas - to see the temple of Zeus; we were the only ones there) On the way back there is an upscale shopping mall on the highway.
We have rented many properties, and this one was the best.
